Jen’s love for local food and farms began in 1998 with work on a small farm in Ireland. She brought her new-found appreciation for hand-grown food back to the Philadelphia area and became The Fair Food Farmstand’s first volunteer.
Jen spent the following 15+ years getting hands-on experience on farms and in retail operations, including serving as the General Manager of the 138-acre Willow Creek Orchards, Montgomery County’s first Certified Organic farm.
Jen then took the leap into several leadership roles spanning both for- and nonprofit enterprises. She now guides marketing, branding and business development strategies for Kitchen Table Consultants as its co-founder. Her client work focuses on on-farm market development, branding, marketing and sales, operations, non-profit strategy and interim leadership. She also leads KTC Special Projects, such as the nationally recognized Philly Farm & Food Fest and PA Produce Month. She’s also served on several nonprofit boards and advisory committees including PASA, PaWAgN and Urban Tree Connection.
Jen, her husband, Eric, and their two dogs love living in the woods along the banks of the Delaware River in Upper Bucks County, PA, and get to Vermont as often as they can.
In addition to working with Poppy’s Greengrocer and Kitchen Table Consultants, Eric also just founded his own company, Tinicum Woodworks.
